Shipper Portal
The built-in Rig Terminal shipper portal for posting loads, managing bids, and tracking shipments in real time.
Overview
The Shipper Portal now lives inside the main Rig Terminal website. Shippers can sign up, log in, post loads, compare bids, manage facilities and lanes, and review a demo workspace without leaving the site.
Posting a Load

| Origin / Destination | Pickup and delivery addresses with facility details |
| Commodity | Type of freight being shipped |
| Weight | Total load weight in pounds |
| Equipment Type | Dry van, reefer, flatbed, tanker, etc. |
| Temperature | Required temperature for reefer loads |
| Pickup / Delivery Windows | Date and time ranges |
| Budget | Target rate or rate range |
| Auto-Accept Threshold | Automatically accept bids below this rate |
| Special Instructions | Hazmat, team driver, appointment requirements |
Bid Management
Once a load is posted, carriers submit bids. Shippers can accept, counter, or reject each bid.
| Bid Status | Description |
|---|---|
| Pending | Bid submitted, awaiting shipper review |
| Accepted | Shipper accepted the bid |
| Countered | Shipper sent a counter-offer |
| Rejected | Shipper declined the bid |
| Expired | Bid was not acted on within the window |
Tip
Set an auto-accept threshold to automatically book carriers who bid at or below your target rate.
Real-Time Tracking
After booking, shippers see live GPS tracking of their shipment with a status timeline: Booked → Dispatched → At Pickup → Loaded → In Transit → At Delivery → Delivered.
Facilities & Lanes
Save frequently used pickup and delivery locations as Facilities. Create recurring Lanes for routes you ship regularly to streamline load posting.
