HOS Overview
Rig Terminal monitors four HOS clocks in real time:

| Driving | 11 hours | Maximum driving time after 10 consecutive hours off duty |
| On-Duty Window | 14 hours | Window from first on-duty status to required break |
| Break | 30 minutes | Required break after 8 cumulative hours of driving |
| Cycle | 70 hours / 8 days | Rolling 8-day cumulative on-duty limit |
Duty Statuses
| Status | Description |
|---|---|
| Off Duty | Driver is off shift and not working |
| Sleeper Berth | Driver is resting in the sleeper berth |
| Driving | Vehicle is in motion |
| On Duty (Not Driving) | Working but not driving (loading, fueling, inspection) |
Violation Detection
Violations are categorized by severity:

|---|---|
| Critical | Driving beyond 11-hour limit, missing required break |
| Warning | Approaching driving limit (within 1 hour), cycle nearing 70 hours |
| Minor | Late log entry, unsigned daily log |
Warning
Critical violations trigger immediate push notifications to the driver and fleet manager. Address them immediately to maintain compliance.
Driver Qualification Files
Track all required DQ file documents: CDL, medical certificate, MVR, drug/alcohol testing, road test certificate, and employment application. Expiration alerts fire at 90, 60, and 30 days.
IFTA & Tax Reporting
Automated mileage tracking by jurisdiction. Generate IFTA quarterly reports in one click. GPS data is cross-referenced with fuel purchases for accuracy.
